Position Summary

The Market Research Manager will serve as integral part of the market research team to design, execute, and deliver impactful, actionable insights that meet evolving client needs.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the secondary research project process, including but not limited to:  project identification, scoping, development, data collection, analysis, report design, and presentations. 


Additional responsibilities include oversight of data gathering from other Market Research team members as well as outsourced vendors.  Must have strong project management skills and be capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.  Must be capable of innovative thinking and have exceptional communication skills to drive client conversations that lead to insightful interactions.  Must be extremely detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and have a strong client-service orientation.  Will utilize various resources including subscription-based services and secondary market research to meet client information needs.  Must have previous market research or competitor intelligence experience, preferably with secondary research techniques.  Reports to Market Research Team Leader.

  • Identifies process improvements and offers ideas for service expansion
  • Proven track record of critical thinking, problem-solving, and exemplary professional judgment
  • Capable of producing compelling deliverables demonstrating masterful written communication skills and visual analysis techniques
  • Dynamic presentation skills that allow for presenting of research findings to leadership-level stakeholders with confidence and subject matter expertise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Validates accuracy of data sources within context of project relevance
  • Demonstrates highly effective organizational and project management skills



  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Marketing, or related field
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Exceptional client service orientation
  • Market Research or Competitive Intelligence experience
  • Project management capability
  • 5+ years of experience in market research and/or competitor intelligence preferably in a professional services industry.
