Position Summary

The Information Security Analyst will be reviewing Crowe systems for security vulnerabilities utilizing a variety of tools and methods to communicate and support vulnerability remediation.


Vulnerability Management:

  • Regularly perform network vulnerability assessments to identify vulnerabilities on hosts.
  • Provide operational analysis of vulnerabilities and threats to IT systems.
  • Identify, analyze and prioritize discovered security exposures and follow up with IT staff to remediate findings.
  • Discover reasonably foreseeable threats to systems that could result in unauthorized disclosure, misuse, alteration or destruction of data or systems.
  • Develop short and long-term vulnerability mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze configurations & security settings of internal Servers, Network Devices, Databases and external-facing Web hosts.
  • Review, investigate and manage IDS/IPS notifications and other network concerns.

Vulnerability Management utilizing Crowe Qualys Suite, among other tools:

  • Analyze security status of systems and implement configurations & hardening settings of Operating Systems, Network Devices, Databases and Web Servers.
  • Interact with administrators, developers, management, and security teams to provide security assessments, security gap-analysis, reports and recommendations.
  • Maintain proficiency in the threat and vulnerability management best practices.
  • Perform incident response and analysis of security incidents.
  • Develop, document and implement data security procedures that enforce information security standards.
  • Create security reports, project and other documentation as needed.
  • Perform other security-related duties as requested.
  • Support and manage security related tickets assigned to team.
  • Complete support and assistance with security related projects.



  • Understanding of performing vulnerability scans using Qualys or related tools including Nessus, Rapid7, Veracode or other scanners.
  • Experience in analyzing and remediating security vulnerabilities on networks and systems; Technical writing; TCP/IP; Windows OS (all versions); Linux OS; Firewalls; IDS/IPS; SIEM; NIST; OWASP; familiarity with programming languages.
  • Understanding of various types of network & web-based attacks and remediation. Familiarity with well-known vulnerabilities and exploits. Self-starter, ability to work independently with minimum supervision & as part of a team. Good proficiency in Microsoft Office, including the ability to manipulate and analyze raw data in applications like Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Technology industry certifications desired.
