    Position Summary

    Financial Analyst

     

    This position is responsible for analyzing the Tax Business Unit’s (BU) financial status by monitoring, collecting, and studying data and recommending actions to help the BU make well-informed decisions. This may include researching and analyzing financial information, writing and maintaining reports, monitoring financial movements, and predicting future performance.

     

    This position reports to the Financial Management Lead.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for weekly, monthly, annual, and ad-hoc reporting for the TAX BU, including designing, developing, and writing reports along with researching and resolving BU inquiries
    • Consolidate, analyze, and interpret financial data (budgets, financial statements, forecasts, etc.) making comparative analyses, identifying trends, and monitoring variances
    • Prepare financial scorecards and productivity reports
    • Prepare monthly analysis of financial results, investigating, and reporting variances
    • Assist in the annual budgeting process, including development, review, analysis, and reporting
    • Lead the monthly and semi-annual WIP and AR reserve analysis processes
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial forecasts
    • Act as operational and financial support for all TAX Partners and the TAX Operations Team

    Qualifications

    Skills:

    • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication
    • Highly detail-oriented and capable of researching and analyzing data with creativity and innovation in mind
    • Strong organizational skills and work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
    • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and work in a challenging fast paced environment
    • Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion is required

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
    • Public accounting experience is preferred
    • Strong analytical, data gathering, and technical skills
    • Easily adaptable to new technologies
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required
    • Periodic travel may be required

    Financial Services (FS):  Financial Services manages the firm's billing systems and reporting, general accounting, partner and director services and tax and compliance needs, while also monitoring Crowe's financial performance and planning.
